Go Placidly is the first sentence of one of my favorite poems, Desiderata by Max Ehrmann. The tea rose is in one of our gardens and I took the photograph in October. I did lots of digital enhancements and manipulations to achieve this rendering and then added the verbiage via mixed media.
God has given me this gift and being a Christian, I always give Him all the glory for allowing me the opportunity of sharing it with you. More often than not, the purposes of my photographs are the result of seeing beyond what is drawing me to grab my camera. It is like an extra sense and when they are loaded to my computer, their purposes are revealed and thus the process begins. This revelation walks happily hand in hand with my desire to learn more digital creative techniques, explore and experiment with the end result enhancing what originally captures my eye. I continue to grow, both in my interests and skills and am now offering abstract and even digital artwork that are created totally through manipulations in a variety of artistic...
