Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
Blue Jay Greeting Too is a second rendering of a creation I made from one of my photographs of a blue jay eating a peanut while sitting on a snow-covered tree trunk in our back yard. I put it through the usual digital corrective process, two digital paint processes and a mixed media to add a mask to reach this final rendering which appears as if painted (commonly known as a painterly in the art world).

More often than not, the purposes of my photographs are the result of seeing beyond what is drawing me to grab my camera. It is like an extra sense and when they are loaded to my computer, their purposes are revealed and thus the process begins.
