Thinking About You is a second rendition of my photograph entitled “Finch Sitting.” In this rendition I added, via mixed media, the grey mask, scalloped frame and the wording. House finches, specifically the males with their bright red breast and head, are particularly beautiful in the winter. While winter is not necessarily my favorite season, I do have to admit that I absolutely love the opportunities it offers for countless photo ops as birds sit in the bare trees!
God has given me this gift and being a Christian, I always give Him all the glory for allowing me the opportunity of sharing it with you. More often than not, the purposes of my photographs are the result of seeing beyond what is drawing me to grab my camera. It is like an extra sense and when they are loaded to my computer, their purposes are revealed and thus the process begins. This revelation walks happily hand in hand with my desire to learn more digital creative techniques, explore and experiment with the end result enhancing what originally captures my eye.
